The House
A private commercial house.
DGF & Co Capital Services is the working name of DGF & Co Capital Services GmbH and the present public expression of DGF & Co—the House through which selected commercial, ownership, private and special-situation matters are admitted, understood and assigned to the responsibility they require.
The House does not treat every matter as a transaction. Some require commercial coordination, some require private stewardship and, exceptionally, some may involve carefully approved principal participation. These responsibilities remain distinct even where they belong to the same House.
The house is not a brokerage, a consulting company, an investment platform, a fund manager or a transaction marketplace. Its authority rests on judgment exercised close to the matter, and on the discipline with which what it accepts is carried.
DGF is neither a substitute for regulated institutions nor an additional layer of conventional advice. Its responsibility is the coherence of the matter: what must be decided, what must be evidenced, who has authority and what must occur before execution can responsibly begin.
The house works alongside independent legal, tax, financial, notarial, technical and other professional advisers. Each retains responsibility for its own advice, decisions and regulated activities.
Principal-Led
Judgment is held close to the matter.
The house is led by its principal. The judgment applied to a matter is exercised by those who are responsible for carrying it, and it is not delegated outward to process, to committee or to volume.
This is the reason the house remains small. A matter that is genuinely understood cannot be understood at a distance, and understanding at close range does not scale.
Selectivity
Few matters. Held deeply.
Selectivity is deliberate rather than incidental. The house declines more than it accepts, and it declines early, because a matter that cannot be carried well is not improved by being accepted.
Concentration allows a matter to be read in its particulars rather than in its category — its participants, its dependencies, its documentation, its actual conditions for movement.
Continuity
The relationship is larger than the transaction.
A mandate is an episode within a relationship, not the whole of it. The house maintains its understanding of a matter and of those who brought it after completion, subject to confidentiality and data-protection requirements.
Completion is therefore not the sole measure. What survives execution — the understanding, the relationship, the institutional memory — is treated as part of the work rather than as a by-product of it.
At House level, continuity concerns the relationship and the institutional understanding retained across matters. Where continuity concerns a family, residence, estate, collection or intergenerational responsibility, it is carried through DGF Private Office.
Independence
Positioned without dependency.
The house maintains its independence from clients, from capital providers and from counterparties. Its judgment on a matter is not a function of who introduced it or who stands to benefit from its movement.
Where a conflict exists or may arise, it is determined before a matter is accepted rather than managed after the fact.
Temperament
The European merchant-banking tradition.
The house works in the temperament and method of the European merchant-banking tradition: relationship before transaction, judgment before movement, concentration before scale, and continuity after completion.

Professional Boundaries
Authorised professionals remain responsible.
Reserved financial, legal, tax, audit, valuation and other professional services are the responsibility of appropriately authorised independent institutions and professionals.
The house may coordinate the relevant professional gates within a matter, and it does so as a matter of execution discipline. It does not replace the authorised professionals responsible for those determinations.

Within the setting of a historic European banking house, the location reflects the firm’s temperament: continuity, discretion, structure, and commercial judgment carried across time.
